20th Century Fox was acquired by The Walt Disney Company, but the legacy of decades of cinema coverage will continue. And a group of high school students are already doing their part to keep their flame burning.
A drama club in North Bergen, New Jersey, hosted a stage production of the sci-fi horror classic over the weekend. Alien . And if you look at the pictures and videos from the game below, you'll be amazed at what this group of teenagers has produced.
First, look at these images that show the impressive craft spacesuits and Xenomorph:
Last night, North Bergen High School in New Jersey played "Alien" as their school game and sees it absolutely incredible. #hrgiger #Alien #rushmore pic.twitter.com/5jopUecFil [19659011-PaulOwens(@oh_pollo) March 23, 2019
As you can see, there is one complete xenomorph suit one of the actors put on for production looks incredibly cool. The students even created the space jockey. Honestly, I can not believe that students were able to do that. However, if you have a passion for theater, anything is possible.
The sets and costumes were all created by recycling various materials and reusing them into what was needed for the show. One of the computer room sets was created with egg crate inserts and foam. According to BuzzFeed, blankets, bottle caps, second-hand clothes and parts of vacuum cleaners and exercise equipment were used to make spacesuits and other props.
If you're wondering what 20th Century Fox thinks, the official alien anthology account wrote:
We're impressed! 40 years and still strong … https://t.co/NJGJIZj2oq[19659016Alien(@AlienAnthology) March 23, 2019
Steve Defendini is the great teacher who has helped this stage production was possible, and he was not sure if they could do it. "We were really not sure if people would laugh about it," said Defendini. "We did not expect that."
After the production is online, Defendini hopes they can find space in the school calendar to do a third performance of the show. I am sure that they will have an even bigger amount for this achievement as everyone has seen how great it is. But if you're not in the New Jersey area, here are some pictures from the show:
I think it's great that North Berlin High School played Alien last night as their school play, so I will continue tweeting How great it is. Everything was made from recycled materials. So crazy, I'm so proud of my hometown pic.twitter.com/EEMEbankDz

That seems towards the end of the movie too his. But if you want to see the facehugger scene, here's a taste:

Luckily, it sounds like more material from the high school production of Alien could be released in a more official position in the near future. After Steve Defendini received a lot of attention on the internet, he said it on Twitter:
It was a surreal day and we're trying to catch up between the interviews. We're working to get the Chestburster material first for you, then the entire show 🙂

So if the North Bergen High School drama club the whole takes up production, we will let you know.
