Three men sentenced to death for killing Scandinavian wanderers in Morocco



Abdelsamad al-Joud, Younes Ouziad and Rashid Afati were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder of Norwegian citizen Maren Ueland (28) and Danish citizen Louisa Jespersen (24) Anti-terror court in Salé, near the Moroccan capital Rabat.

The bodies of the tourists were found decapitated in December in a remote area of ​​the Moroccan High Atlas. Both women had been seen in their hotel in Marrakech with three men before they went to the mountains to hike.

The conviction in Morocco took place after the Danish police launched its own prosecution in March against 14 people allegedly sharing a video depicting the assassination of Ueland and Jepersen.
