Tennessee Titans and Safety Kevin Byard have agreed on a multi-year deal, the team said Wednesday. This makes Byard, who has the same agent as Landon Collins and Earl Thomas, the best-paid security in the history of the NFL.
Byard moves into his fourth season after being drafted in the third round (64 in total) in 2016. They do not receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, but have since played in all 48 games for the Titans, including starts in all 32 games in the last two seasons. He has played since 2017 99.7 percent of the defensive snaps.

Prior to this transaction, Collins and Tully Mathieu of the Kansas City Chiefs were the highest-paid securities, signing contracts in March for an average of $ 14 million a year. Collins, 25, signed a $ 84 million six-year contract with $ 44.5 million guaranteed with the Washington Redskins. 27-year-old Mathieu signed a $ 42 million three-year contract with a $ 26.8 million guarantee.
