To build UiTM First Varsity, launch Nano-Satellite



SHAH ALAM – University of Teknologi MARA (UiTM) wrote history as the first public university today brings its first Nano-satellite UiTMSAT-1

into space.

The Nano satellite was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) via the spacecraft Space X Falcon 9, which was launched by the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida at 17.47 local time

The 10 cm large nano-satellite Satellite was built by two UiTM students Syazana Basyirah Mohamad Zaki and Muhammad Hasif Azami, who are currently studying in Japan Kyushu Institute of Technology (KyuTech) under the program "Joint Global Multi-Nation"

Hassan said the nanosatellite would be temporarily held on the ISS and it is expected to be brought into orbit, approximately 400,000 km away from Earth, in August. Meanwhile, Mohamad Huzaimy stated that the nanosatellite had six missions to capture images, test the satellite location correlation, and measure the Global Positioning System Chip to measure the magnetic field in space data on geomagnetic mapping in Southeast Asia and radio communications.
