Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black are new dads!
The couple welcomed their first child, Robert Ray, over a replacement on Wednesday, as Daley and Black announced in a statement in the British Times newspaper on Saturday.
"Black-Daley: On June 27, 2018, to Thomas Robert Daley and Dustin Lance Black, a son, Robert Ray," is the brief statement.
The nickname has a special meaning: Robert was the first name of the father of the athlete who died in 2011 after fighting cancer. It's also Daley's middle name.
In one of the baby's first photos, both fathers weigh their son's head in their clasped hands.
"Welcome to the little world Robbie Ray," Black wrote in the caption on Instagram Saturday. "Thank you for bringing so much love and light, and thanks to everyone who helped make our dream of transforming a family into this wonderful reality AF # AFamily #HappyBirthday ???" [1
The British diver and Oscar-winning American screenwriter announced in February the good news of the future expansion of his family, by publishing a picture of the couple with an ultrasound image on Instagram. Daley, 24, dubbed his post "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!" While Black, 44, wrote: "A very happy # Valentine's Day from our to yours."

The couple began marrying in 2013 and married in May 2017 at Bovey Castle in Devon, England, about 30 miles from Plymouth, Daley's hometown.
In a Joint Interview with Out Daley and Black said it was "love at first sight" and both wanted children.
"We were so busy making all these plans – we both wanted to have kids, we both wanted to build our own home someday," Black revealed.
The couple celebrated their baby's arrival at a baby shower in April and shared Instagram photos in honor of the special day. They wore "Oh Baby" glasses and "Daddy to be" sashes and drank from festive baby bottles.
In Daley's selfie of the two he titled the picture: "SURPRISE BABY SHOWER."
Black shared a snapshot of the two next to a dining table with a tower of cake and biscuits, writing, "DADS to be # baby shower!"
The couple has addressed some negative comments about their surrogate motherhood. During a performance on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place Daley explained the blatant homophobia expressed when fans support heterosexual couples with surrogates and still condemn homosexuals.
According to the BBC, Daley said, "With Kim Kardashian West, people were sorry they could not have a child for health reasons, how nice it is that a contract worker was willing to do that."
He continued, "But for any other gay couple who can not have a child but desperately want to raise a child like any heterosexual couple we have been treated quite differently."
