Top 10 results – Who moves on? – Hollywood life



It is the result night of the episode "American Idol" on April 23rd. Follow our summary to find out who's in the top 10 of Season 16!

For the first time in this season of American Idol the decision on who will move on is in the hands of America – and only 10 of the remaining 14 artists will see the next competition week. Six of the top 10 seats are voted by the voters, while the other four are selected by the judges. Maddie Poppe is the first participant on stage to hear her results … and she is safe! To celebrate the exciting news, Maddie is giving another epic performance, this time from The Bangles' Walk Like an Egyptian.

Next comes Michelle Sussett who unfortunately was not voted into the top 1

0 of America. However, she has the chance to prove herself to the judges and decides to sing an original song called "I'm A Dreamer" to earn one of the last four places. We'll find out later if it's enough for them to move on! Marcio Donaldson is next, and he is not elected by America either. He sings Nick Jonas "Jealous" in the hope of being one of the best, but unfortunately they are not too impressed by his performance.

The next artist to achieve results is Cade Foehner who climbed into the top 10! He celebrates with a performance of "Bright Lights" by Gary Clark Jr., who gets the crowd going. Garrett Jacobs listens to his results next and, like Michelle and Marcio, has to fight for survival as he was not voted into the top 10. He plays "Have you ever seen the rain?" And brings Judge Luke Bryan and Katy Perry

Ryan Seacrest calls Gabby Barrett next to the stage, and she She learns that she moves into the top 10. Before she sits down, she rocks to an interpretation of "Little Red Wagon" by Miranda Lambert. It follows Dennis Lorenzo who was elected not by America and sings in Survival Hopes "The Woman's Work" of Maxwell . He gets standing ovations from all three judges.

The next candidate called to score results is Jonny Brenns who also receives the disappointing news that he is not automatically among the top 10 "Demons" of Imagine Dragons will suffice for the judges to puncture him! The next artist on the stage, Caleb Lee Hutchinson earned one of these top 10 spots and is celebrating with a new edition of "Getting You Home" by [Chris Brown]. So good!

Next, Ryan reveals that Mara Justine does not have enough of America's votes for an automatic top 10 spot and she sings Rihanna's "Love On The Brain" to convince the judges. Jurnee gets her result next and also has to play for her place in the Top 10. She gives out "Never Enough" The Greatest Showman which gets her acclaim from the audience and a round of applause from the judge

Next comes Michael J. Woodard who ranked fifth among the Top 10 earned. He impresses again with his festival performance of "Believe In Yourself" by Diana Ross and the crowd goes wild. This leaves only Ada Vox and Catie Turner to find out their results. Ryan announces that Catie has chosen America's sixth top 10 placement, and she wields a unique performance from "Havanna" by Camila Cabello . Finally, Ada gives the last performance of the night, hoping to reach the top 10. "And I tell you I'm not leaving"

Now it's time for Katy, Luke and [Lionel] Richie to make their pick. Before Ryan even gives them the green light, they collectively confirm that Ada is in the top 10 and only has three seats left – and they go to Jurnee, Michelle Sussett and Dennis Lorenzo.

The Top 10 are … Maddie, Cade, Gabby, Caleb, Michael, Catie, Ada, Jurnee, Michelle and Dennis! They will re-appear for the US cast on April 29th.
