Apple's relatively inexpensive iPhone XR was launched yesterday, and we've got a hands-on look at the main new features of the colorful device. Starting at $ 749, this 6.1-inch iPhone is much cheaper than the iPhone XS, but offers many of the same features. Is the iPhone XR the iPhone you should buy? Watch our video tour as you explore the key features of the iPhone XR.

$ 749 Entry Price
The biggest advantage of the iPhone XR compared to the iPhone XS is the entry-level price. At $ 649, the 64 GB iPhone XR is $ 250 cheaper than the cheapest iPhone XS. If you have a limited budget, but are in the market for a new iPhone, the iPhone XR is worth considering.
$ 50 Storage Upgrade
If 64 GB of storage is not enough for you, then the iPhone XR can be configured with 128 GB of storage for just $ 50. Apple Storage upgrades are available several times in increments of $ 100, but you can only double your iPhone XR storage by half.
The iPhone XR with 6.1-inch screen sits between the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max at the screen size. Although I'm a fan of the 6.5-inch display of the iPhone XS Max, I can not deny that it can be a bit unwieldy and I have pretty big hands. 6.1 inches is a manageable size for the operation of a smartphone with one hand and slightly larger than the display of the iPhone X and iPhone XS.

A12 Bionic Processor
The iPhone XR is a so-called "budget" phone, but the fact that it's with the flagship iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max has much of the same DNA, can not handle. In fact, the iPhone XR has the same A12 Bionic processor as the iPhone XS. Not only is the A12 faster than the A11 in the latest generation iPhone X, it's also much more powerful when it comes to machine learning, graphics processing and image processing.
Extended Wide Angle Camera
Although the dual-camera setup of its high-end cousin is missing, the iPhone XR has the same wide-angle camera found in the more expensive iPhone XS. A 32% larger 12 megapixel sensor provides larger pixels, resulting in significantly better performance in low light.
60 fps front camera
In addition to the iPhone XS, the iPhone XR offers the possibility of capturing 1080p videos at 60 frames per second with the front-facing TrueDepth camera.
Animoji Animoji is not new, but given the price of the iPhone XR, it became much more accessible. With the launch of the iPhone XR, Animoji first appeared on an iPhone that was not the high-end flagship.
Single Lens Portrait Mode
The portrait mode of the iPhone XR is impressive as it has a wide-angle lens instead of the dual-lens camera body of the iPhone X and iPhone XS. The portrait mode of the iPhone XR is based on the wide-angle lens, making it easier to take portrait selfies and improve performance in low light.
Adjustable depth of field
You can adjust the background blur of photos in portrait mode by using the edit function in the photo app. With a future iOS update, you can also adjust the background blurring in the camera app in real time.
The Smart HDR was one of my favorite new features of the iPhone XS, as it enables better-looking photos with dark subjects, bright subjects, or a combination of both. With Smart HDR, your photos can retain details that would otherwise be lost. This happens automatically.
Record Stereo Sound
The iPhone has stereo playback capabilities, but has the ability to record video in stereo with this latest generation of equipment. With stereo video recording, you can hear the left and right stereo separation right on your iPhone.
Extended Dynamic Range
When you record videos at 30 frames per second, the iPhone XR may automatically drop to 24 frames per second in low light conditions.
Advanced Face ID
With the TrueDepth camera on the front of the iPhone XR, users can use FaceFrom, the biometric security technology that unlocks your iPhone and iPhone to authenticate with your face. And since the iPhone XR uses the same advanced face ID included in the recently released iPhone XS, unlocking and authenticating with your iPhone XR is even faster than on the iPhone X.
Six Color Options
The iPhone XR is the first iPhone since the under-admired iPhone 5c, which has a wider color palette. If you're tired of the same old space gray, silver, and gold colors, the iPhone XR's fresh white, black, blues, yellows, coral, and reds are fresh air.
Several new iPhone XR-centered wallpapers highlight the colorful nature of Apple's iPhone budget. However, if you have another iPhone model, we have extracted the wallpapers right here for download.
Liquid Retina Display
The most interesting thing about the iPhone XR is the almost angular LCD display. To save money, Apple used LCD technology instead of more expensive OLED panels. Realizing such an all-screen design using LCD technology has not been an easy task, and Apple points out that the Liquid Retina display is the smart phone's most advanced LCD display.
The Liquid Retina Display is also the largest LCD display Apple has ever produced for the iPhone. It is larger than the iPhone 8 Plus display, but the overall device is physically smaller than the iPhone 8.
Considering the top features of the iPhone XR, this could be one of the most impressive. The iPhone XR offers the best battery life of any iPhone. It even offers better battery life than the high-end iPhone XS Max flagship.
No Home Button
The iPhone XR is the first iPhone sports LCD technology to ship without a home button. Just like the iPhone X, many important aspects of your iPhone are controlled with intuitive gestures.
Tap to get awakened
Tap to wake up, first appeared with the iPhone X, but this is a feature that has been a staple of Android for years Cell phones is. Once you get used to it, it's difficult to physically press a button to activate your phone.
3D Touch is nowhere to be found on the iPhone XR, which is why Apple uses haptic feedback for certain interactions. Haptic Touch named "Haptic Touch" is this transfigured long-press process for calling the lock-screen flashlight or the various elements in Control Center.
The iPhone XR offers the best price for any iPhone. Price, battery life, processor, camera and color options make it a strong competitor for the best iPhone in the current Apple product range.
