It is the last episode of the new releases of 2018! December may be the last month of the year, but this is far from the least in terms of big game releases. At the top are the high-octane open world of Just Cause 4 and a trio of Persona spin-off games: Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight, Persona 4: Dancing All Night and Persona 5: Dancing In Starlight. The once-delayed insurgency: Sandstorm is about to release and a remake of the cult classic Katamari Damacy is running out. Oh, there is also a small Nintendo Switch game called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Maybe you have heard about it.
Just Cause 4 – December 4
Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC
Rico Rodriguez is back and he has some new toys. The new balloon and thruster attachments can be paired with the dependable grapple hook and wingsuit for absolute chaos – watch out for massive storm effects like tornadoes. You must use all this to regain the land of Solis.
Persona 3: Dance in the Moonlight / Persona 4: Dance All Night / Persona 5: Dance in the Starlight – 4 December
Available on PS4, Vita
The persona games in the lead role is all about dungeon crawls and demon battles fan favorite songs from the series. Persona 4 Dancing has already received a Vita release in the West, but now the others are on their way with the PS4.
Katamari Damacy Reroll – December 7  Available on: PC, Switch
Katamari Damacy is 14 years old, but this remaster updates the cult classic with HD graphics and completely new kinematics. The Switch version includes a movement control that allows you to control and knock around the prince, and you can try the two-player co-op with a single pair of joy-cons.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – December 7
Available on: Switch
The latest version of the Super Smash Bros. series contains all playable characters from the history of the series as well as a handful of new rivals like Ridley, King K. Rool and Incineroar. The mix also adds spirits to boost the value of your fighters. You can unlock them via the Spirit Board or quit the new story mode World of Light. It's a big game with a lot going on.
Riot: Sandstorm – December 12
Available on: PC
What is a series of New releases without a shooter? Uprising: Sandstorm is focused on realism, which makes melee combat all the more intense. It will appear on the PC after a previous delay this month and will lead to consoles next year.
This completes the new releases for 2018. We will be back in the new year with a whole series of highly anticipated games. January brings us big names like Kingdom Hearts 3 and the remake of Resident Evil 2, so we'll dug up on our return in 2019.
