Top new releases for Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC this week – 22-28. September 2019



New releases had some particularly long episodes in September, and this week we've put together another one. In September, there's a double dose of Dark Souls-inspired games with Code Vein and The Surge 2, as well as the intense run-and-gun action of Contra: Rogue Corps. Nintendo fans can also sit back with Mario Kart Tour on mobile devices. Add to that the Nintendo switch ports of Dragon Quest 11 and Ori and the Blind Forest. Footballers can also take a break at FIFA 20 this week.

One of two From-inspired games The Surge 2, a software release this week, Located in a more vertical city than the original, it offers you various locations to explore while battling enemies and bosses. "Hack" is definitely the keyword here as the limb system is still an important part of the fight.

Contra: Rogue Corps – September 24

The Rogue Corps could be seven years after Contra III: The Alien Wars, but it's full of crazy run-and-gun action you'd expect from the series. You can save the damned city as a cyborg, killer, alien, or scientist panda while playing solo or with friends in local and online co-op. Each of these four villains also has their own special abilities.

Mario Kart Tour – September 25

Mario Kart Tour is a mobile one Game, however, still offers the same courses, characters, items and custom kart options that you expect from the series. However, it also includes new courses based on real places like the Eiffel Tower. In addition, Mario Kart Tour can be downloaded for free.

Code Vein – September 27

Code Vein is the other Souls-like game that starts this week and is nicknamed "Anime Dark Souls". Code Vein sets it apart from others by allowing you to customize your character with the Gifts gifts and quickly change your class using Blood Codes. Of course, you will fight hard enemies and bosses, but luckily you can fight online with AI Companions and other players.

Nintendo Switch gets this Week also a port of Ori and the blind forest. With this modern Metroidvania, once exclusively offered by Microsoft, you have control over the protective spirit of the forest. The Definitive Edition is the same game, but offers new areas and additional levels of difficulty.

FIFA 20 – September 27

FIFA 20 features about new mechanisms for dribbling, attacking, aiming and shooting, but the biggest increase is the football of Volta. This removes the football game from big stadiums to smaller games in back streets, which fundamentally changes the pace of the game. But do not worry, the Career Mode and the Ultimate Team are still part of the action.
