President Trump said on Tuesday that the ongoing investigation of the special adviser in Russia in this year's midterm elections would lead to "MEDDLING," his recent efforts to motivate probing by biased goals. "The 13 Angry Democrats (plus 8 years working for Obama) working on the manipulated" Russia Witch Hunt "will be MEDDLING in the midterm elections, especially now that the Republicans are taking the lead in polls . "Trump wrote on Twitter, adding," There was no collusion except from the Democrats! "
In a series of morning tweets, Trump tried to turn the tables on an investigation that began as an attempt at Russian interference in the presidential election Uncover a possible coordination between the Russians and Trump's campaign.
The probe, which recently celebrated its first anniversary, is led by Special Adviser Robert S. Mueller III, a longtime Republican. and overseen by Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein, a Republican and a Trump appointee. The President has taken advantage of the fact that some of the lawyers involved in the investigation have in the past donated to democratic candidates.
In a second tweet on Tuesday, Trump said the Special Adviser's team was instead investigating his Democratic opponent's campaign, which he described as a "totally Crooked Hillary Clinton."
"Why are the 13 angry and highly conflicted Democrats investigating the completely crooked campaign of the totally crooked Hillary Clinton," wrote Trump. "It's a manipulated witch-hunt, so ask them if they enjoyed it after the election!"
Republicans risk taking control of the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate in this year's midterm elections as Democrats feel encouraged by Trump's unpopularity.
Numerous polls this year have shown that Democrats have a significant head start on general election issues to Congress. Several recent surveys have shown that the margin is narrowing.
In a third tweet, Trump suggested that the Russia probe would take away his focus on other issues facing the country, including trade agreements and efforts to demuclearize North Korea] "Sorry, I have to put my energy on North Korea nuclear weapons, poor trade agreements, VA election, the economy, reconstruction of the military and much more focus and not on the manipulated Russia witch hunt that Clinton should investigate / Russia / FBI / Justice / Obama / Comey / Lynch, etc. " wrote the president.
