"I would rather not say that, but you may think that's what happened, and it happened during my administration," Trump told Fox News's Steve Hilton when he was asked for a report he had personally for a cyberattack on Russia during the year authorized the time of the middle.
When asked why he did not talk about it, Trump said, "Because they do not want me to talk, the secret service says," Please do not talk to secret services. "Sometimes intelligence is good and sometimes you look at Comey and you look at Brennan and you look at Clapper and I'm supposed to believe this intelligence? I never believe this intelligence."
The National Security Council did not respond to a CNN Request for a comment on what the President specifically referred to.
"Nobody was harder than me in Russia," Trump said in response to criticism that he was just a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the Post, Trump gave its approval to the general operation aimed at preventing Russia from interfering in a US election.
