David and Louise Turpin each faced 14 crimes, including atrocities against an adult, child torture, torture and false imprisonment.
They were arrested in January 2018 when their 17-year-old daughter managed to escape the house in Perris.
Children between the ages of two and 29 were severely malnourished and maltreated.

District Attorney Mike Hestrin said during the brief hearing that the plea had spared the children a trial that would further traumatize them.
He said the decision was partly due to the "worldwide media attention" that the case received.
"We have decided that the victims have been sufficiently tortured and ill-treated," he said.
"I personally met with the victims and, rest assured, they are all relieved to know that this case has been resolved."
Officers who ransacked the family home 112 km south of Los Angeles found a scene of misery and stench of human waste, mirroring the neat appearance of the estate in a middle-class neighborhood.
Part of the growth of adult victims was so weakened by malnutrition that the authorities initially mistook them for children.
The prosecutor said the parents beat, strangled and starved all the children, with the exception of their toddler daughter.
Some of them were chained to furniture in an abuse campaign until at least 2010.
Victims were forbidden to shower more than once a year, and none of them had ever seen a dentist.
The Children – whose names all begin with the letter J – were kept in the house, but were allowed to go to Disneyland and Las Vegas for Halloween or family outings.
The Turpins are living in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
They are sentenced on April 19.
