Two men were shot down early Monday near the U-Street Corridor in Northwest Washington and near Fort Davis Park in the southeastern DC police force.
The recent filming took place in the northwest in 1900's block of Ninth Street, a few blocks from the Shaw-Howard University Metro Station. The police said two men had been shot dead around 1 o'clock in the morning. One died; the other was treated in a hospital.
The police had only an incomplete description of the shooter as a stocky man wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The name of the deceased was not released immediately. The police said he was from Maryland.
The second deadly shootout occurred at 12:05 pm in the 3900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, near a shopping mall. The police said the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died of his injuries.
His name was not published immediately. The police said they had no description of a shooter.
The two deadly shootings on Monday and another deadly shooting near the Benning Road Metro Station in southeast Washington on Sunday bring the district's homicide squad to 103 for the year, a 35 percent at this time of the year 2017.
