McGregor is also in another case involving a row in the bar After TMZ released a video in which the MMA fighter hit a man in a pub in April. He is expected to reach an agreement on this case during a court on 1 November.
According to the Times, Irish laws prohibit the identification of persons accused of rape before being formally convicted of the crime. For this reason, McGregor is referred to in the media in Dublin in its pending cases as a well-known Irish sports star.
He is one of the most bankable stars of the UFC. McGregor clinched 21st place on Forbes' list of highest-paid athletes in 2019, although he has not fought since his defeat by Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on 18 October.
