BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The United Launch Alliance announced that the Delta IV Heavy rocket launch from Cape Canaveral has been postponed on Saturday September 27th.

The launch window opens at 12:10 AM ET.

This is the 141st mission for the United Launch Alliance and our 29th mission for the NGO. It is the 385th Delta launch since 1960, the 12th Delta IV Heavy and the 8th Heavy for the NRO.

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV heavy missile will launch the NROL-44 mission for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). The launch takes place from Space Launch Complex-37 in Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

In late August, ULA’s first attempt ran into a problem as the countdown to start began. The team requested an abort after three seconds in the countdown. The three The Delta IV Heavy’s engines fired, but were shut down 3 seconds before full power and take-off.
