"Unicorn Meteorite Storm" could be triggered Thursday evening by a mysterious comet

The upcoming meteor shower this week is not typical: The Alpha Monocerotids could turn into a rare meteor storm on the evening of November 21st. However, they have to be fast, as the alpha monocerotid tips last only about an hour. Watch for the shooting stars between 23:00 and 22:00. and midnight time.

The last meteor storm from this shower was in 1995, generating 400 meteors per hour. If there is no meteor storm, you can count on about 10 meteors per hour.

The source of alpha-monocerotids is unknown. They seem to come from the constellation Monoceros, a unicorn.
