All relevant US carriers are planning to launch 5G enabled smartphones, but for the time being, customers who want access to 5G speeds need to purchase the Moto Z3 and 5G accessories for the Moto-Mod.
At least two more 5G smartphones are expected to debut in the US, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and the LG G8 ThinQ 5G. Both come to AT & T and Verizon, possibly also to T-Mobile and Sprint. However, Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg was even bolder and confirmed that in the second half of the year, a third 5G smartphone will be available on the network of the operator – the Galaxy Note 1
The Verge reports that the statement was made during the quarterly earnings announcement for the first quarter of 2019, pointing out that two 5G-enabled Samsung smartphones will be available from Verizon, in addition to the LG G8 ThinQ 5G: The Note and the Next Galaxy Both will feature 5G this year.
By the time all these smartphones are available, US carriers will be able to bring the 5G service to more markets, even though this will take at least a year for the technology tire.
