This entry is intended only for those who have already seen the finale of the fourth season of Veronica Mars . Spoilers abound. They were warned …
In the end, the epic love story of Veronica Mars heroine and Logan Echolls certainly spanned years and continents, with at least one life ruined. And bloodshed? Yes, there was a bit of it … courtesy of the bomb that killed Jason Dohring's character at the end of the season four finale.
The Bum-Fighter-Organizer-Marine-Intelligence Officer thanked his creator for an explosive device from Patton Oswalt's Penn Epner, a disgruntled pizza delivery man who had tormented Neptune Spring Breakers with similar explosions in the city's most profitable month.
The worst part: Logan died just hours after he and Veronica got married and were present at City Hall with Keith and Wallace. As the bridal couple packed into Sedona for a spontaneous honeymoon, Logan realized that Veronica's car had to be moved to house the street cleaners. And as he walked down the stairs and got into the car, Veronica noticed that Penn's backpack was still in her back seat … and probably contained a bomb.
She ran desperately to the window to warn her new husband, but it was too late: The car exploded, knocking her down and killing Logan. (For a full synopsis of the episode, click here.)
