Already in 2013, Nick Diaz tried as controversially as possible to deal with his fight against Georges St-Pierre in Montreal. There were allegations that GSP did not really have weight but would still be allowed to fight. He complained about St-Pierre's hand packs. And recently Diaz has stated that the GSP team tried to poison him before the fight. Serious.
"I think whoever tries to do this fight, I have to give him a backhand," said the elder Diaz. "I fought the guy (St-Pierre), they poisoned my infusion with a crazy ass drug.
" I've had 37 fights, fought for 1
"I was flat on the way out (and) I'm in the best shape of my life, everything was weird."
This kind of … unique story is not uncommon for Nick Diaz. Most of the time St-Pierre takes the main road when it comes to what Diaz or anyone else has to say about him. This time he decided to answer with a funny story. As a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience, GSP mockingly described what had actually happened before and around the dreaded fight with Diaz:
"I must confess, I was so scared, so we tried to poison … I was so scared We were poisoning his infusion, but he survived, so I was even more shocked, so the whole sports committee was on my payroll, they fooled the weighing and I made it and it went through So I was even more scared.
"Well … the aliens abducted me and they used the gamma rays (in me) to increase my strength, like The Hulk. Like a performance enhancing drug. And the fight still happened! So just before I put glass and cement in my gloves to make sure. And yet I had a crazy hard fight.
St-Pierre won this fight unanimously during the day, and there has been talk of his recently fighting on Nick's Diaz, brother of Nicks, but that seems unlikely.
