Wild photos and videos show the cruise ship Viking Sky tilted by nearly 45 degrees in rough water, passengers and furniture falling through rooms and tiles from the ceiling.
The battered cruise ship reached the Norwegian coast almost on Sunday afternoon, 24 hours after the Mayday call, when engine trouble occurred at sea.
Photos show the ship rocking along the rough, cold western waters of Norway when it tried to avoid a collision with the rocky shore on Saturday.
Video taken from passengers inside shows water pouring through communal areas when waves of up to 26 feet high were hit on the ship. Another clip posted on Twitter shows that ceiling tiles crashed over the passengers' heads rolling tables and chairs across the deck.
At least 20 of the 1,373 passengers and crew were injured, Viking Ocean Cruises said. 19659002] Almost 450 passengers were brought by helicopter to the landing. A tug and two more ships on Sunday allowed the ship to arrive after a restart of the engines in Molde.
