Vikings Mock v3.30 – Daily Norseman

I thought the Vikings would be done in free agency. They signed Marcus Sherels, Tom Compton, Reshard Cliett and Kendall Wright. Now they are also interested in a Marquette King. You'll need another 15 free agents and the 7 to 10 draft picks to join the 90 players for the training camp.

I expect another corner signature and that could be Newman. If that's the case, then the corner must be a position they're going to draft on because with Newman they would only have 4 usable corners, unless Tocho or Richardson would make the final roster.

I could see that another defensive attack is added to some decent specimens like Johnathan Hankins, but the price could be too high.

On their way to the design, the Vikings can go in different directions. Obviously, most fans want them to design early and often offensive linemen. I can see that they do it very easily. But I'm not sure if the value will be there.

I use the Fanspeak page to make the mocks. Here are the Premium & Regular Links

Kelley does not agree with some of the NFL comparisons he has seen made to Watson, including Chris Hogan of the New England Patriots and Adam Thielen of the Minnesota Vikings. He says Watson is weighing her in college production, size and athletics.

Considering that Watson's vertical and wide jumps place him in 95th percentile in Kelley's "Burst Score," Kelley finds three times the Pro Bowl selection Vincent Jackson or the newly signed Jacksonville Jaguar Donte Moncrief a fairer comparison.

"A guy who is at least 6 feet 2, a guy that weighs 220 pounds and has an explosive force below 4.5 with explosiveness that's pretty rare," Kelley said. "[Jackson] went to Northern Colorado, a small school, scored 70% Dominator rating and was in the end super explosive when tested, and without having an algorithm on his comparisons, just the eye test, he looks more like a Vincent Jackson dating as an Adam Thielen. "

I imagine this with the majority of fans not doing so well Vikings to design offensive linemen with two out of the top three picks. I could see they did that, but I doubt it.

Justin Reid would be an excellent choice, and although he might not start this year, he could be ready next year. Since he also played corner in Stanford, he could be in dime packages.

Ragnow is a native Minnesota native and Viking fan and an excellent interior decorator. He could also push for a start job this year. But if not, with Easton and Compton on one-year deals, it would definitely start in 2019.

Pettis is an exceptional returnee. And also a pretty good receiver.

Shepherd is on the rise and may not even be available in the third round. He could go in the middle of the second. In that case, I could see that they are taking Folorunso Fatukasi instead.

Hines is a good kick back and offers some speed on the brink of offense. He is another hot prospect and could go higher. In that case, I could see that they are playing for Ito Smith here.

Fumagalli could be a good move-tight ending and has shown impressive shooting abilities.

Stroman and Thomas could be good depth players in positions where there is a real chance for a beginner to make the team.

I'd like to say Justin Watson is a sleeper, but he's in many teams radars. I think he actually leaves at the end of the 5th

This is different and not necessarily the one that the Vikings bring along for a visit.
