Vince McMahon returns the XFL and he puts a lot of money into the business to make it a reality. The WWE chairman's notorious NFL competition was a small disaster
McMahon announced a restart of the XFL in January, writing it as an alternative to an NFL that has been controversial in recent years and in a public relations crisis located on different fronts. But the key to getting the XFL up and running for the second time is not necessarily how many people do not like the NFL, but how the XFL can get people interested in an alternative before the money runs out.
And, as it turns out, it will cost a lot of money to get the XFL back on the ground. ESPN's Darren Rovell said Friday that McMahon has told investors he intends to spend up to $ 500 million of his own money on the company, a huge sum for the startup league that does not even have an official launch date.
