The NFL may change venues for the NFL Draft each year, but one constant, Commissioner Roger Goodell's lusty, lengthy brew, will remain.
They booed him Thursday night in the Cowboys & # 39; AT & T Stadium, with fans thinking of various flaws. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who, as we say, had his differences with Goodell over the national anthem demonstrations and Ezekiel Elliott's four-game suspension, puts that shindig in JerryWorld, and he seems to be an ingenious host. To ensure that Goodell is not booed, he was accompanied by cowboys legends Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman and Jason Witten.
"I'm sure he'll get a good answer when we're out there," Staubach told the Star Telegram. "When they boo, we are all in trouble."
They were in trouble. Not even Goodell's lame wit could save it.
"I can not believe you're busting the cowboys," he said.
It's a special evening for 32 young men and 32 teams in America's most popular sport. By midnight, some of the top picks in the NFL draft will be preparing to become instant millionaires, their lives have changed forever. What begs the question: what is their walk-up music, you know, the jam that is played, like the 22 men who called in the AT & T Stadium green space Sashay toward the Roger Goodell Bearhug after their name become?
You will hear Drake (so much Drake) and Bon Jovi, to name two. Sam Darnold, the former USC quarterback, had the audacity to choose Metallica's "Enter Sandman," the song that really belongs to the Yankees' future Hall of Fame Marianas. Naughty guy. Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers Quart E rback, who sat and sat and sat until he was selected in 2005 with the 24th pick, agreed with his choice and it could trigger your Snark-O-Meter.
Either way, someone ends up with a chip on his shoulder
It is unclear whether there will be an Aaron Rodgers moment, but JJ Watts showed that some things are never overcome. Things like draft day comments.
The design has a red carpet. Zoinks
A red carpet has been a fixture in recent years and, according to early insights, velor can be big this year.
Yes, the players have stylists. How else could one explain the impeccable fit and design of Penn State running Saquon Barkley's Tugs back? (And the food is also pretty special.) That would be a good look in, say, New York City.
Year after year, a player breaks out of Christian Louboutin high heels (putting dandelion Venetian loafers, in an iteration)
Lee Corso does a Lee Corso-thing
ESPN's Lee Corso has the "Pregame" show at the end created a gigantic Mel Kiper head.
Cheeseheads for all!
The threshold threshold of the design
Is this a trend? We will see.
The good people of NBC think that despite the shortness of this trend, the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl next February. Alright.
Dad gets paid, Jada
Penn State runs away Saquon Barkley will be a top choice, but it can not beat what happened earlier in the week when daughter Jada Clare arrived. How to See the First Round (Note: It's Everywhere)
With the first round of last year's draft, which draws 6.7 million viewers on ESPN and 2.5 million more on NFL Network, you can tell them blame? By the end of the first round on Thursday night, up to six quarterbacks could disappear from the market. Another reason for viewers is the fact that for the first time on Broadcast TV they cover all seven rounds of the three-day draft.
Six providers – two channels over radio (Fox and ABC) – and four cable networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and NFL Network) will take over the duties, with ABC taking over the ESPN coverage of Rounds simulcasting 4-7 on Saturday , Fox and NFL Network will simulate the first three rounds with a common broadcasting team.
