Fall has just arrived, but Walmart is already planning the vacation. The unofficial start of the Christmas business season, Black Friday at the big box retailer, usually attracts long lines and enormous crowds. While customers can still expect significant savings, Walmart̵
On Wednesday, Walmart announced that it “promises a brand new Black Friday experience”. As opposed to a day of incredible deals, Walmart plans to distribute the traditional savings on Black Friday throughout the holiday season. In addition, additional offers will be available online this year so that customers can shop from the comfort of their homes.
“We have heard from our customers that many plan to start their vacation shopping well before Black Friday and that they are looking for gifts that will suit their current lifestyle,” said Scott McCall, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Walmart US in a press release. “So we’ve adjusted our strategy to accommodate these new shopping preferences. We’re offering more of what they want now, sooner than ever, and all at the best prices.”
To prepare for Black Friday and the rest of the holiday season, Walmart has increased its inventory of electronics, kitchen appliances, toys, and more. Also, the retailer says it will have 800 Walmart exclusives for the holidays.
