Watch the first episode of the Sonic Mania Adventure Mini Cartoon

The first Sonic Mania Adventure Mini cartoons were released on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account. The first part of Sonic Mania Adventures is a funny, wordless showdown between Sonic and Eggman with all the classic hijinks that accompany their little battles. But there are a few small details that show where the future episodes will go, including some secrets about where the Chaos Emeralds might be hiding. Also, be sure to stay for a bonus scene after the credits.

The five-part animated mini-series was announced this year during a Sonic panel on the SXSW. Created by the same creative team behind last year's beautiful animated Sonic Mania trailer, the series promises to turn a short, fun-filled Sonic adventure into harmony with Mania's tone setting.

Also featured on the SXSW Sonic panel was Sonic Mania Encore, a new improved version of the hit Sonic game with new modes and two new characters: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. Sonic Mania Encore will be available either in a physical Collector's Edition or as a DLC upgrade for players who already own the digital version.

Keep an eye out for the official Sonic Twitter account as more episodes of Sonic Mania Adventures are released. In the meantime, you can read our Sonic Mania review or read our complete Sonic Mania guide, which will help you with some of the tricksters in the game.
