A few owners of Tesla Model 3, who recently received the Enhanced Summon update, have shared images of their vehicles using the newly released feature. The videos provided show that Enhanced Summon is incredibly simple in its current state, but the short demonstrations point to the enormous potential of the enhanced feature.
Elon Musk earlier this week mentioned that Enhanced Summon is already being introduced in the first group by Tesla owners. The feature has been teased by Musk for months. The CEO highlighted features such as a "remote control mode" and a "follow" option that allow owners to have their electric cars follow them like a pet. The most notable of these abilities is perhaps the ability of electric cars to maneuver in a parking lot all by themselves.
Videos shared by Model 3 owners on YouTube show that the electric sedan does just that by navigating from the parking lot to their owners on site, but in an incredibly deliberate manner. Although skeptics may criticize the feature in its current state due to its limited speed and effective range, it should be noted that the current iteration of Enhanced Summon is the worst, as feature enhancements will take effect in the future over-the-air updates.
When Elon Musk mentioned improvements to Summon last year, he found that the update would use autopilot cameras instead of the ultrasonic sensors used in the first iterations of the feature. This is in line with the CEO's attitude towards fully self-driving cars, suggesting that artificial intelligence and cameras could be used as the primary navigation tool. Musk has great plans for the autopilot camera-driven incantation, which states that in the near future, a Tesla should be able to drive around a parking lot, find an empty space, and read signs to confirm that he is valid. "
For those who are unfamiliar, this is used by Tesla Autopark / Summon. Somewhat smarter version, hopefully soon finished. Until next year, a Tesla should be able to drive around a parking lot, find an empty spot and read signs to confirm the validity and the park.

Similar to the introduction of features such as Sentry mode, Tesla is expected to refine Enhanced Summon with a small group of owners before the entire functionality is introduced. Once the bugs have been eliminated, eligible electric vehicle owners might expect to see Enhanced Summon in their vehicles.
