Wave to bring rain to Florida this weekend

A faint tropical wave heading towards Florida increases rainfall probability this weekend, but is not expected to develop before it reaches the area. The tropical wave is located north of Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos Islands and was referred to as Invest 95. Development opportunities increase as the system relocates to the Gulf of Mexico. Predictors give the system only a 10 percent chance of developing over the next 48 hours, but that chance rises to 60 percent over the next five days. The hurricane center also monitors a system about 800 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. A slight development of this system is still possible on Wednesday. However, it is expected that conditions will be unfavorable for development until Thursday. A tropical wave, located between the west coast of Africa and the Cabo Verde Islands, is expected to spread rapidly to the west over the next few days. At the weekend or early next week, slow development is possible if the system is expected to be a few hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles. The Hurricane Center said there is a 20 percent chance of development over the next five days.
