WEATHER: Light snow for New Year's Eve

On the last day of the year, another snow round is going on. Although it seems to be mostly snow, it is easily possible during the day to have some icy rain.

We can expect an inch here in the Twin Cities. A winter weather counselor is projected to be anywhere in the center of Minnesota up to a height of 3 "to 6".

Temperatures fluctuate as the snow passes. A seasonal Monday will be a cold first half of the year, with double-digit highs on Tuesday. But the cold is short-lived. In the first week of the year, when the fresh snow melts, a mild piece settles and reaches highs in the middle to upper 30s.
