"You think she's like the original Lauren [Conrad] because she was the cool girl on The O.C." said Port. "She was famous at about the same time [and] all her scandals were scandals at about the same time as The Hills so they think [the series’ producers] that she has a narrative story to tell ̵
Port admitted that she is a bit confused as fans of The Hills were added to the cast.
" I know not, I can not really explain it fully, because it's a bit confusing for me, but that's what they tell me, "she added.

"Of course I'm an ar so I'm assuming jobs, so I generally accept jobs, "she told the publication," but when it comes to things that I know are going to make a great effort. It's always a process for me.
When she received the offer for the first time, she believed it was a joke.
For execs working on the show, the offer was no joke. On the contrary, they thought Barton would complement the cast perfectly.
