A Saturday morning shooting at the al-Noor Islamic Center near Oslo, Norway, injured one man and detained another man.
Authorities described the attacker as a "young white man" but did not identify him further. Witnesses say he broke the glass door of the mosque and opened the fire in the church. It was a 75-year-old man has been injured.
"The man wore two shotgun-type weapons and a pistol," said mosque director Irfan Mushtaq to local news channel TV2. "He broke through a glass door and shot."
Mushtaq also described the man as dressed in protective clothing and helmet and said he had been overwhelmed by people in the mosque before the arrival of police time since the mass shootings in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, in March, during which 51
"One person is shot dead," the Oslo police confirmed on Saturday. "The severity of this person's injuries is unknown and a suspect is arrested."
The police believe that the suspect acted alone, but no details were given at that time.
