Where we left off above

The much awaited Downton Abbey movie opens this week. But let's summarize before the premiere what the Crawleys intended at the end of the series in 2016.

The Count and Countess of Grantham: Lord Robert and Lady Cora Crawley

In season 6, Lord Grantham and his wife Lady Cora become devoted grandparents to Mary's son George, Sybil and Tom's daughter Sybbie and Edith's daughter Marigold.

The couple finally sees the writing on the wall in Season 6 as the times for Downton Abbey change. Robert decides to limit the staff in the household in a timely manner, since hardly any other large home works with the number of staff that Downton has.

Robert has been suffering from severe abdominal pain for weeks and actually vomits Blood Night with future Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain at the table. This causes Robert to support more appropriate medical care in the community, which is a constant issue for many episodes.

Lady Mary and Henry Talbot

In Season 6, Mary recorded a relationship with a well-known acquaintance, Henry Talbot. Henry enjoys racing and as soon as he shows interest in her, Mary distances herself from him since her first and beloved husband Matthew died in a car accident. She reluctantly gets closer to him, but then he is almost killed in one of his races. Mary almost locks him in again, if not for the encouragement of her grandmother, the widow Duchess, and her brother-in-law Tom.

She marries Henry Talbot and he and Tom finally open a car sales business together.

Edith Pelham, the Marchioness of Hexham

If you know your Downton story, you know this Edith wins the whole cookie until the end of the series. Edith, whom no one had expected much, finally marries a Marquess and surpasses her entire family. He and his family did not even object that she had an illegitimate baby with a married man who was killed by Nazis. That's how good things ended for Edith.

But Mary ruined almost everything and Edith put it all down and told her, "I know you're a bad, jealous, scheming woman." Mary, as usual, called her miserable, but Edith added, "You are Do not humiliate yourself by trying to justify your poison. "

Where Edith and Mary were three siblings with their little sister Sybil, they were only two now after Sybil's dreadful death during Season 3 delivery. As Edith Mary said, after she unexpectedly showed up at Mary's wedding, "Am You're my sister in the end and one day we'll just remember Sybil or mom or dad … "Oh, Edith.

You're all busy with the action above, but if you still need a shot of Downton, check out the series before the movie's US release date on Friday, September 20.
