Ed Boon breaks up the newcomers in the next bloody Mortal Kombat entry.
The first eight characters in Mortal Kombat 1
"Kronika is the boss of the bosses. For all Mortal Kombat events that have occurred since MK1, she is the only way to design everything that has happened, "said Boon." Everything that has happened has been done according to her plan, with the goal of making Shinnok
Of course, for those familiar with the demise of Mortal Kombat X, things are not quite so.Shinnok's plans to corrupt the Jinsei Chamber were made thanks to the efforts of Cassie Cage and Raiden thwarted, so that Kronika left a plan what the story of Mortal Kombat 11 seems to be.
As Kronika says in the recently released film sequence of Mortal Kombat 11: "Again, the thunder god disturbed the balance of history, but you know that, the bow of the universe is leaning to my will, it's only a matter of time. "
Boon says Kronika's goal is to restart everything from the start, as a result of which there is a big phenomenon Introducing characters from the past into the existing Mortal Kombat universe leads to some "Back to the Future" moments when characters encounter their younger selves.
As for Geras, Boon was a bit vague in detail, outside of him a servant of Kronika.
"Geras was born the story that we were [writing]and because he works with Kronika, he has control over time," Boon said. "Our designers took up this idea and said," Okay, let's add a time element where he can rewind where he was two or three seconds before the fight, and that's his unique ability no one else has. "
I played some rounds with Geras himself, not only playing with all the other Mortal Kombat characters, but breaking some of his traits with the rules of conventional combat game characters, one that allows him to manipulate the lap timer by 30 Seconds to subtract or add, another allows him to kill once if he suffers fatal damage (akin to the unstoppable variant of Jason in MKX), and another even allows him to rewind his time by four seconds and set his position and his health back to what they were four seconds ago, he can even use this move while he is being combined.
Obviously, these moves have significant limitations, with each claiming multiple slots in the customizable variation system during the four-second return all three slots claimed.
Nevertheless, both Geras and Kronika are exciting characters, both in Bezu g on the gameplay as well as the story, and we can not wait to see how their inclusion affects the universe of Mortal Kombat.
