America fell in love with Hannah Brown during her time in The Bachelorette but the journey was not easy for the reality star. Brown fell in love with and became engaged to candidate Jed Wyatt, only to learn that he had come to the show with a friend who was waiting for him at home.
"On the second night after our engagement, Jed tells me that he hung out with this girl before he went on the show. I said, "When was that?" And I remember that he said "a week before the show". And I said, "Okay, you broke it off." He said, "Yes." He said it was nothing. It was hard to hear, but I tried to let it go, "she explained during the final.
She continued, "Then, a few weeks later, I get the news that an People Magazine article has been published and I start to read it, and it was not the same story I was told. The article states that he did not really finish the relationship before he came here. The extent and what was withheld from me after saying "yes" is out of order.
At the end of "After The Final Rose," Brown asked her runner-up Tyler Cameron for a drink that can see all of America. The move focused heavily on their possible romantic relationship, which made things even more painful when Cameron began dating quickly after The Bachelorette with supermodel Gigi Hadid.
Hannah Brown chooses joy
Brown is not happy every day. How could she handle what she's been through lately?
In a recent Instagram post on her stories, the reality star wrote about how she hates being asked, "Are you happy?"
"I want to share today's devotion with you. Many people today ask me, "Are you happy?" And to be honest, I hate this question because I'm not always able. Nothing about some of the circumstances I've been through recently has made me happy. I have moments of happiness, but luck is fleeting.
I choose joy though. And joy is so much better. It infiltrates the soul. It heals. Joy is the goodness of God that cleanses my heart.
Regardless of the circumstances, I pray that we all decide to take a little joy today.
Han, "she wrote.
Brown then posted a picture of devotion to the joy she addressed.
"Joy and happiness are not the same thing," began the text underlined by Brown with a black pen. "Happiness is based on circumstances; Joy is based on God. Happiness is rooted in positive emotions; Joy is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5: 22-23). No matter what happens in our lives, God wants to give us joy through the power of His Holy Spirit. "
At the bottom of the page, Brown had handwritten," Joy in the midst of pain was the medicine I needed.
