After Jaguar's Cornerback Jalen Ramsey tried to sign up sick on Monday before appearing in the team's facility, it became very quiet with regard to his continued efforts to leave Jacksonville. The next step in the saga comes on Wednesday, when the Jaguars will complete their first major training before the fourth week game in Denver.
The question arises as to whether Ramsey will turn up. Josina Anderson of ESPN.com reports: " My understanding is Jaguar CB Jalen Ramsey plans to be tomorrow in the facility ."
Plans may change. But it seems that someone got through to Ramsey and / or his agent on Monday when he intended to skip work due to an alleged illness at a time when he was trying to get traded. I want to trade Ramsey, but digging in will not make him want to stay. The best way to persuade him to stay is to offer him a huge sack of cash. At the moment, Jaguars do not seem to be ready.
From today's point of view Ramsey should have boycotted the training camp and possibly the regular season. Now that he's on the team, his options are limited – especially if the Jaguars just do not want to trade him.
