Now that the OnePlus 6 is officially out there, we know the smartphone is significantly faster than its competitors, including Samsung's Galaxy S9 series and Apple's iPhone X. That's even more impressive when you consider that the Galaxy S9 the same Snapdragon 845 processor rocks inside the OnePlus 6, even though the Chinese smartphone maker once again went for RAM. The OnePlus 6 has 8 GB of RAM while the Galaxy S9 + only gets 6 GB
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is of course Samsung's next high-end smartphone. So will it be faster than the OnePlus 6?
A benchmark for the Exynos version of the Galaxy Note 9 shows that the phone offers no significant performance boost compared to the Galaxy S9. The Note 9 will also be available in two versions, which are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and Exynos 981
The results of Exynos 9810 are slightly superior to the Snapdragon 845, which became famous a few years ago. We consider 2737 and 9064 in single and multi-core testing for the Exynos-powered Samsung SM-N960N, according to the Geekbench collection found by MobielKopen .
The Snapdragon 845 Galaxy Note 9 meanwhile scored 2411 and 8712 in the same tests. It's worth pointing out that the Qualcomm powered Galaxy S9 version was also lower in benchmarks than the Exynos model, but better in real tests.
The OnePlus 6 scored 2474 and 9082 points in Geekbench tests, and we found in our review that the multi-core Score is the highest score of all Android devices in this benchmark
saying that neither the Galaxy S9 / Note 9 nor the OnePlus 6 in benchmark testing can rank as high as the A11 Bionic chip of the iPhone X.
The new benchmark, which is listed on Geekbench on Friday, also shows the Galaxy Note 9 6 GB RAM. It is unclear whether Samsung will produce an 8GB Galaxy Note 9 this year.
