Willie Nelson came on stage in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday to abruptly lay down his guitar and kick the stage to the horror of the fans
In a video written by a fan of the Outlaw Music Festival The 85-year-old musician can step on the stage with thunderous applause. He gets on stage, puts on his red, white and blue guitar strap and picks up his guitar. However, he seems to change his mind quickly and puts the guitar down. He threw his hat in the audience and then went off the stage forever. It's hard to say, but the star looked angry as he did so.
According to a tweet by Live Nation, Nelson was reportedly ill and could not play. They encouraged fans attending the event to keep their tickets until a rainy day for the show was announced.
According to TMZ, some concertgoers said he had run off stage in the evening. It also notes that the fans had to wait an hour before anyone told them that Nelson would not return to the stage.
This is not the first time that illness has kept the singer from performing. As previously reported, Nelson had to cancel several tour dates in February 2018. A month earlier, he had prematurely ended a show in San Diego and canceled further tour dates.
