Microsoft has been fiddling with the edges of Windows 10 File Explorer for some time, adding a dark mode and promising further changes with the release of Windows 1
Now in the latest version 19H1 Windows 10 Build 18290 WindowsLatest has detected a new change in the display of dates in File Explorer.
Instead of the full numeric date, z " 29/11/2018 10 AM " The File Explorer now uses a more user-friendly format [ of November 29 .
Microsoft continues to make changes to the file explorer separately, working on a UWP file manager that performs improvements over time, including drag-and-drop support, better copying and pasting, and more.
To enable this UWP file explorer:
- Right-click on the desktop. Go to New and select Abbreviation .
- In the Create Link Wizard, type the following part in the input box:
- Explorer Shell: AppsFolder c5e2524a-ea46- 4f67-841f-6a9465d9d515_cw5n1h2txyewy! App
- Click Next and name the link UWP File Explorer.  Click Finish. You must be a Windows 10 insider with all the associated issues that you can enable by selecting Settings > Update and Security and selecting the Windows Insider program .
