Microsoft plans to revise its Windows 10 icons next to the Office suite. The software giant unveiled a new icon design for Office 365 earlier this week, bringing with it a number of Windows changes it was considering. "It's a big undertaking to create a common system and design 10 icons at the same time," explains Jon Friedman, head of Microsoft's Office design. "Now that we have established the system, we will scale it to the whole Microsoft."

Windows 10 contains in some parts of the operating system still symbols existed for more than 10 years. These older icons seem very inappropriate when you come across them, although Microsoft has made an effort to modernize its Windows design, and in particular the way you configure settings in the operating system. Microsoft has made many design efforts for Windows over the years, but now that the company is focusing on a broad design with a single icon for the entire enterprise, it may be what's needed to clarify some old examples.
