Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10, version 1803, the April version that most users will keep until Microsoft restarts the rollout of version 1809, the October 2018 update.
The new version, Update KB44629330, shifts version 1803 to 17134,376 and 43 bug fixes to improve quality. As expected, there are no new operating system features.
It's the second round of cumulative updates for October after KB4462919 of this week's Patch Tuesday, which caused BSODs on some HP computers because a broken HP keyboard driver was pushed out by Windows Update.
Microsoft has fixed this bug in an update earlier this month, so it is not included in this build.
However, Microsoft has resolved an issue that caused audio data to be aborted when using call control, volume, and streaming music to Bluetooth audio devices. Users saw error messages about btagservice.dll, bthavctpsvc.dll, btha2dp.sys.
Fixed an issue that could cause Windows to stop working if a Bluetooth device was accidentally removed.
Many of the fixes may be appreciated by administrators of companies and government agencies who had problems because the new build fixes issues with applications under Windows containers, App-V package failures, immediate task action group policies, and schedule fix tasks.
There is also an update for government agencies that must comply with the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) security standard. It should now be possible to disable TLS 1
Both versions of TLS are formally phased out by the IETF, but NIST has already stated that government applications can not use TLS 1.1 and should not use the 20-year-old TLS 1.0.
Some users also had trouble scheduling tasks that are queued and will not run until the user logs on to a version 1803 device.
Affected scenarios involved missing "Scheduled tasks defined in the last installation phase, not running" and "Automatically registering computer certificates and root and intermediate certificates".
Besides the usual system fixes, this is the case The update contains adjustments in response to the recent currency change in Venezuela due to the inflation crisis. The central bank released a new sovereign Bolivar in August, worth about 100,000 old Bolivars.
This build "deals with the conversion of the local currency that the central bank of Venezuela had put into circulation for entry into the Bolivar Soberano".
It changes the currency symbol of Venezuela, the English currency name, the local currency name and the international currency code.
