New Delhi: Wipro said Sunday that it has acquired more than $ 1.5 billion in Alight Solutions LLC, the largest transaction to date.  Under the 10-year agreement, Wipro will provide Illinois-based Alight Solutions with comprehensive solutions and services that provide technology-based healthcare, assets, human resources and financial solutions.
"This contract will generate revenue," Wipro said in a statement.
This commitment will enable the digital transformation of Alight's offerings and enhance Alight's customer experience by leveraging Wipro's strengths in digital technology, cognitive automation and data analytics, "he added.
"Our industry-leading partnership with Wipro will enhance our customer experience by leveraging Wipro's leadership in automation and innovation, and by investing Alight in health, wealth and the cloud," said Chris Michalak, Alight Solutions' Chief Executive Officer.
Wipro's Larger Partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has received three large, multi-year, and over $ 5 billion in wholesale sales since December 2017. The current deal will be made to for the Bengaluru-based company Throw thrust into the pan. First-quarter earnings in this financial sector increased 2% to $ 2.120 billion, and revenue increased 4.72% to 14.037 crore year-on-year.
Wipro CEO and Executive Director Abidali Z Neemuchwala said the deal reflects the capabilities the company has built through strategic investments in Wipro Digital, clou's platforms and Wipro HOLMES cognitive platform. "We will use this expertise to digitize and modernize the Alight core across platforms, technologies and operations," he added.
In July of this year, Wipro partnered with Alight Solutions to acquire its captive business in India – Light HR Services India – for € 117 million.
In a separate BSE application today, Wipro said, "the transaction was completed on August 31, 2018". Alight HR Services India (formerly known as Aon HR Services India) was founded in September 2016. It has about 9,000 employees and a registered turnover of £ 1,132 crore in 2017-18. There are centers in Guergramam, Noida, Mumbai and Chennai.
