SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A woman broke her thigh bone after riding a scooter and losing control of downtown San Diego on Friday.
The 65-year-old woman drove shortly before 2 a bird scooter clock in the Embarcadero area, to San Diego Police. Her family members also drove scooters with her.
For some reason, police say that the woman lost control of the scooter and overturned. She was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for a broken femur.
Nobody else was hurt.
This week Mayor Kevin Faulconer proposed new regulations for motorized scooters with growing injury figures in San Diego among drivers.
According to the rules proposed by the mayor, drivers would be required to sign any liability of the city should an infringement happen.
