WWE Raw Results, Summary, Sheet Music: Ronda Rousey stands out with a solid show hampered by the Shield drama

Sometimes that's just too much of a good thing.

WWE insists on generating the fatigue of the spectators for a long-running feud between The Shield and The Dogs of War, which apparently has multiple matches between them in each episode of Raw spoil what the conditions for a strong three-hour sports entertainment ready Monday. Instead, the episode was littered with a plethora of repeated matches – including the same main event for the second consecutive week – and constant tensions between the two teams, which will not be surprisingly resolved the following week. Apart from the drama about the Shield, Ronda Rousey delivered her probably best promo after joining the WWE in a blistering segment opposite the Bella Twins, and Kurt Angle returned again to the Double Baron Corbin.

Never-ending shield – Dogs of War Feud rolls on

Brown Strowman, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Ziggler opened the show by rejoicing at exposing Dean Ambrose's shielding issues. "I hate to say I told you," McIntyre said, "but I told you, we broke the sign." McIntyre and Ziggler then faced their own problems with the question of who would win by meeting Crown Jewel in the World Cup tournament on November 2nd. After Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins came out counter with Ziggler ripping them apart for Ambrosius' absence, Rollins explained that "The Lunatic Fringe" as always simply worked in his spare time. Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre by Countout (World Cup Qualifier): Ziggler's presence and the constant danger of his distractions played a major role in the game. Rollins hit successive suicide bombers on both heels from separate sides of the ring, but his attempt to pound saw Ziggler pull the top rope to fly him. Ambrose came out of the crowd to attack the heels. Rollins then struck McIntyre and rolled into the ring just in time to win a countout before he and Ambrose agreed to celebrate. Later, behind the scenes, Ambrose said that Rollins said he "always shows up in a hurry," and went away furious.

Dolph Ziggler bespoke Dean Ambrose via Pinfall: Rollins countered McIntyre's early attempt to interfere by stepping out to attack him. Ambrose shook Rollins' attempt to help him, rolled into the ring and entered a super kick that allowed Ziggler to hit the needle. Ambrose brushed Rollins off again, and the two of them started pushing on the stage until Reigns ran off to separate them. Acting general manager Baron Corbin then booked a six-man tag match for the main event between the two teams. Later in the locker room, Strowman McIntyre and Ziggler threatened that if either one messes up, they "get those hands".

The shield def. The Dogs of War via Pinfall: An early quarrel under the shield led to Strowman Clotheslining all three, including another collision between Rollins and Ambrosius. The match featured many highlights and chaotic sequences, including tandem suicide dives on opposite sides of the Ring of Ambrose and Rollins. Late in the game, Ziggler pushed Rollins back into his teammates, Ambrosius pin attempting to break McIntyre after a dirty act. Ambrose tried almost the same move on Rollins until Ziggler hit him with a zigzag for two goals. After McIntyre accidentally thrown Strowman out of the ring with a Claymore kick, Reigns hit a spear on McIntyre before a threefold power bomb from the shield set up an Ambrosius pin. An angry strowman shot Ambrose before eating another Claymore kick when McIntyre left his teammates behind.

The once-promising Ambrosius story has evolved into a "boy wolf-calling" scenario that felt like Groundhog Day. Worse still, WWE creative has essentially written the same story in the relationship between the heels, with McIntyre playing the same role. Regardless of whether the story ends in a creative and entertaining place, the journey still feels superfluous there, as Raw can not help taking advantage of the fact that any combination of the six wrestlers in this feud tends to turn out entertaining Game. Although it is a wise strategy to hold ratings, it is nothing but a public announcement that there is nothing new to see. Back to the well with just the same main event as last week is the surest way to make sure the onlookers on the fence to go to bed early do just that. Three games in the same show involving the same two teams – with unbelievably similar results – is nothing short of lazy. Class: C-

Explaining Bella Twins to Ronda Rousey

Rousey entered the ring and openly asked the Bella Twins to explain why they had attacked them last week. Out came Nikki and Brie to explain how they were attracted to an unworthy loser, how Rousey was presented at the forefront of the evolution they co-developed. "We did 'Divas & # 39; something in common, we made the word strong and powerful," Nikki said. "There are little girls in the crowd because of us and our reality show, and the championship you wear would not exist without us." Rousey countered by saying that the Bella's were "the embodiment of a stereotype – DMB, do not do anything Bella's", and that the divas era they represented made them sick.

"The only thing that impressed me was how far you could go with the bare minimum of talent," Rousey said. "They leached the names of their men, they plagiarized and diluted their movements, they are not pioneers, they are Callus, they are relics of the past, waiting to be gutted like smallpox." Rousey then responded to Brie's claim that she was jealous by pointing out that during her trip, she slammed doors into Judo, Strikeforce, UFC and WWE. "The only door you ever knocked down was the door to John Cena's bedroom," Rousey told Nikki. "And he finally threw you out of the same door." Rousey challenged them to a fight, but the Bellas were waiting for a five-member security team to take them to the ring area. Rousey struck and Judo threw all five while Nikki and Brie ran away.

As long as you can see Rouse's fight on the mic to open the segment and the weak dialogue, the rest of this segment was nothing but gold. The intensity in Rousey & # 39; s voice, while delivering such an edgy promo, was perhaps the best representation of her tough babyface character to date. Nikki also stood strong in her defense of a Divas era in which she was the face of recent development, and struck her point with a defiant shake of her rear end aimed against Rousey. The segment operated under the promotional phrases of life at its core, including Bella's, who benefited from relationships with Cena and Daniel Bryan, and the confrontation of two women's seasons against each other (which in many ways is a match between the two) Vince McMahon and Triple H in relation to how WWE women are presented). The only thing the segment missed was that Nikki and Brie cut Rousey's previous public failures with the same intensity she had done to them. Note: A-

What else happened to Raw?

Brothers of Destruction respond to D-Generation X: In a feature-length video promo that was nostalgic as a blaze, Kane said his respect for Triple H & Shawn Michaels "died with their dishonesty "And the reunion of DX is built on a bed of lies." Undertaker said that Michaels had retired out of fear of him and Kane had replied that they would have three separate words from Crown Jewel, saying DX will "rest in peace."

Ember Moon & Nia Jax def Dana Brooke & Tamina Snuka via pinfall: This tag team match was created to mark a royal battle in Evolution Paying. Promoting per-view on October 28, with the winner receiving a future title fight, among the big names being Asuka, Carmella, Naomi and Torrie Wilson An early stalemate between Jax and Snuka also seemed to tease a future feud, as Tamina did met a Samoan drop on Jax. After Moon landed Brooke an Eclipse on Brooke, Snuka Jax dropped with a kick. Moon then turned to Jax, helping Snuka throw her over the top rope. Moon tried Snuka from behind shortly before Brooke burst in and threw them both to the ground. Jinder Mahal via Pinfall With Bayley in his corner opposite Alicia Fox and the Singh Brothers, Balor made quick work of Mahal on the Coup de Grace.

Bobby Lashley came to pose in front of Balor when hype man Lio Rush told him, "You wish you could look like him." Tyler Breeze via Pinfall The heel push for Lashley continued as he dominated Breeze in this squash match.

Lashley took his time, temporarily throwing a one-arm vertical suplex and a dominator for the 1-2-3.

Trish Stratus & Lita share words with Alexa Bliss & Mickie James: In essence, a repeat of their segment last week, the pair of heels cut a promo on Stratus & Mickie James. Lita, to hype her evolution match. Bliss and James quickly realized how long ago it had been since one of the two legends had been in a WWE ring – in January they just forgot the Royal Rumble of the first women. Stratus & Lita countered with an angry reaction to play the Philadelphia crowd and Allen Iverson's famous "practice" dizziness. Bliss & James initially accepted a request to report and fight before leaving. AOP def. The Conquistador via Pinfall in a Handicap Match: Kurt Angle appeared backstage in a Hawaiian shirt and straw hat on vacation. Corbin reminded him that it had been 12 years since his last WWE singles match and later arranged a 2-on-1 fight to help Angle prepare for the World Cup. Corbin watched from the ramp with a big smile as Conquistador's poor ankle attempt turned into a brutal squash defeat. But after AOP had uncovered their prey to reveal that it was an unnamed jobber, Angle snuck up behind Corbin and hit an angle slam on stage. Natalya def. Ruby Riott Disqualified: The Riott Squad caused problems before the match by knocking on Bayley and destroying Natalya's locker room. For this reason, Natalya decided to bring Bayley and Sasha Banks to the ring as a backup. Sarah Logan forced the DQ to stop Natalya's Sharpshooter attack on Riott. After a close combat, Bayley and Sasha banked to prevent the heels from hitting their finisher on Natalya and cleaned the house to stand upright.

Elias interrupted by Apollo Crews: Elias played his guitar and insulted the Philadelphia fans about their city and their beloved Eagles. There were crews who advertised because they kept their mouths shut for too long and tempered too long, while others like Elias passed him by. After Elias had removed his cloak to attack, crews ducked a clothesline and a drop kick and squeezed slam, probably triggering a new (and not particularly anticipated) feud.
