If I remember rightly, last week I asked if it was worth pronouncing Daniel Bryan at all. Leave the champion to take his arrogance and superior attitude to a completely different level.
people! You did that thing! They have made a completely new championship for Bryan from organic materials! He has a hemp title belt !!!
Bryan came to the conclusion of the show and congratulated the fans. At the Royal Rumble they all won. Do you know why? Because Bryan won. Bryan's win was a win for the fans, a win for their children, their children's children, all sentient beings … because he's the world champion of the planet.
Grief, man. To put it on thick.
Bryan introduced his "intellectual peer" Erick Rowan ̵
The crowd had him too; when Bryan began to tell a story about the WWE championship, and the cow that died for its founding called "Daisy," the crowd did everything to throw it off. This is a fantastic sign of Bryan's abomination that a lot of people want to do that to him. And you could only see the slightest annoyance on his face before five wrestlers interrupted him: AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Mustafa Ali and Samoa Joe.
Oh wow. Just the right amount for a game in the elimination chamber.
This was a great approach to a decent episode of SmackDown. Call Joe for the verbal torch he gave to everyone.
Naka Rusev Day
So … who had R-Truth the American champion in the Cageside betting pool?
After his win Rusev at Royal Rumble, Shinsuke Nakamura was in our first game of the night – apparently in a quick, resume-building fight against R-Truth. It was a pretty ordinary game until Truth countered a move to a roll-up … and won .
At second glance, it looked like an ordinary near miss in a game. Nakamura broke the plug-in attempt at 2, but he apparently never got his shoulders off the ground. The referee counted three, and we had a new champion.
And suddenly Rusev came out, and just like Elias on Raw, he suddenly turned his heel. Apparently R-Truth was not good enough to become US champion. Rusev challenged Truth to a match – and he lost too! Nakamura and Rusev were angry at their humiliation to beat Truth after the bell. The good brothers came to confront Rusev in the locker room and told him to treat the truth so badly. They challenged Rusev and Nakamura for a match that is likely to take place next week.
It's crazy how quickly WWE got these two guys out of the US cover picture. And you know what? I do not hate it. Suddenly the US cover picture is deleted, which could give someone like Samoa Joe or Mustafa Ali a first title run. Maybe even a debut EC3?
If you add Rusev and Nakamura to an already stacked Tag Team division, we should also be providing some more great matches. Besides … it was not like they were going to tear it up with their feud, was it?
Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic. I think the US title was not least a reset.
The rest of SmackDown Live:
Andrade scoffs at Eddie, encounters Rey Mysterio – Eddie Stuff, but this segment did not hit home as well as possible. Andrade has all the arrogance in the world, but it has to be presented in a more open, annoying way, you know what I mean?
Charlotte wants all the credit – Charlotte is fucking salty, you guys. Becky Lynch has come to terms with the rumble, and Charlotte seems to have been disappointed by Lynch's success.
Lynch Jerk hit her, resulting in a brawl, but the story here is the severe confusion of Lynch's leg. She refused the medical attention because she "can not afford to stand on the shelf again."
Mandy Rose still hates Naomi . I'm still not sure if I liked it or if I hated it. She was unbelievably petty, at least because she made a mild remark that Naomi had made on Tough Enough for four years and used her as a motivation to ruin Naomi's life. I imagine Naomi will find a tag team partner for the game Elimination Chamber .
Miz and Shane McMahon celebrate – That really lame me. I know that Miz did it the way that his dad is not proud of him … but I did not have to watch it on TV, you know? It's also funny to hear Shane announce the # 1 Contender match as if he had booked it. Maybe their title rule is not as funny as the hunt.
The Usos def. Heavy Machinery, New Day, The Bar – This was a fun match, but it's not worth investing too emotionally. The Usos fight against Shane and Miz next. I do not expect them to win, but we'll see.
You know, if it was not the Daniel Bryan segment, I'd rate it with a bad grade. There was not much wrestling on the show and nothing was particularly entertaining. Good that Bryan is a colossal goober and Samoa Joe can talk more trash than anyone else in the world.
And now, Cageside, a few deserving days from the WWE. What has happened to you in this episode?
