It looks like Xiaomi will release a new wireless charger for Qi in the near future that has been certified by the WPC (Wireless Power Consortium). Roland Quandt, a well-known tipster, shared this information on his official Twitter page, and his guess is that the upcoming wireless charger will be made for the Mi MIX 3, he might be right. Of course, the wireless charger Qi works with any smartphone that supports wireless charging with Qi, but it's likely to be announced with the flagship Mi MIX 3 and made for the company's upcoming flagship.
The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) also shared a picture of the upcoming wireless charger, and it's a circular device that's definitely not flashy. The design of the device is simple and straightforward, and you will also notice a LED light on the side that indicates when the charger is on and charging a smartphone or whatever another Qi-powered device is placed on it. This is more or less all the information shared by WPC, we have no specifics when it comes to this charger. That being said, the only Qi-powered handset that Xiaomi has released so far is the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, but its successor will almost certainly ship with the same functionality. It is possible that the Mi MIX 3 charges faster than the Mi MIX 2S wireless, but it remains to be seen whether that is true or not, as the Mi MIX 2S a few months ago and the Mi MIX 3 is expected to land in September or October ,
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 has surfaced a few times so far, though it remains to be seen how accurate these leaks are. Leaks report that the Mi MIX 3 will soon be without a bezel, as Xiaomi reportedly plans to remove the "chin" as well, and a Miter camera in the Mi MIX 3, similar to this, integrated on the Vivo NEX. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will probably ship with the Snapdragon 845 SoC, at least 6GB of RAM, and it will likely be made of metal and ceramic, just like the Mi MIX 2S.
