WASHINGTON – Kraft Heinz remembers thousands of cases of Taco Bell Salsa Con Queso Mild Cheese Dip, because the sticky snack could be a breeding ground for botulism and potentially fatal food poisoning.
The company calls "product separation" – where the components of the dips literally come apart – for the recall.
This separation could lead to the growth of Clostridium botulinum representing a potentially deadly form of bacterial food poisoning.
Symptoms of Botulism These include generalized weakness, dizziness, double vision and speech or swallowing disorders.
Difficulty breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distention and constipation are also possible symptoms.
Kraft Heinz said in a statement that there are still no reports or complaints about illnesses from consumers.

In the statement, Kraft Heinz said they "regret this situation and apologize to all consumers that we have disappointed."
