There were definitely some who became angry a few years ago when [CI Louis C.K. and Ricky Gervais said the N word during an HBO special, but in this current racial climate many more people are upset.
The two comedians along with Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock made a movie called "Talking Funny" in which he talked about comedians, his process and other topics.
But things took a very strange turn when C.K. said "When a black man becomes rich, it is a countdown until he is poor again," causing laughter.
Then Rock jumped in and said C.K. is "the blackest white guy I know" (19659002). "You say I'm a N —?" C.K. asked. "We say n – on stage. You are not? "
Then Gervais took the opportunity to pronounce the bow. "Who says n–? We do not do that, "he said.
After the word had been thrown around for a while, Seinfeld spoke and ended the conversation. "You have found the humor," he said. "I did not find it or wanted it."
It's probably no surprise that Rock was shredded after the clip appeared on social media, not just because of C.K. and Gervais, to use the n-word, but also to laugh about it.
"Chris Rock just proved to be the most comfortable Cooner by allowing these white men to say" n "and laugh in his presence," one wrote.
"Yeah, you're not invited to the cookouts," wrote another.
"All your idiot," commented a third person. "You are Coon. You, the nearest Kanye West. "
Rock has not mentioned anything about it and neither of the other comedians. The clip for the HBO Special 2011 can be found below.
