YouTube Music today introduced a fast and seamless switch between audio and music videos. The Android app is now testing A / B for an increase in search in the bottom bar.
Instead of looking in the app bar next to the profile avatar, a user has discovered it in the bottom bar. The second tab is the search between Home and Hotlist. The library completes the main parts of YouTube Music. A general enlargement icon and the caption "Search" are used.
This view makes a lot of sense, as the YouTube Music search feature is actually quite powerful. One of the best features, lyrics and descriptions of the streaming service often works to find the track you are looking for.
With larger and larger devices, the new bottom bar placement facilitates access to the search. In terms of visibility, the functionality is now displayed in slightly more places than if the app bar was previously hidden by scrolling is probably the optimal number of menu items for the client. A minor nuisance is a modified backward behavior after entering and scrolling through the search results. Instead of returning to the previous screen, the app will now exit via the system's Back button. Tapping the bottom bar is required to navigate to another location.
The new YouTube Music Search is currently A / B tested. It appeared on a reader's YouTube account on multiple phones. The latest release (3.23.52) did not serve it on other devices that we reviewed tonight. For more news, visit 9to5Google on YouTube:
