The highly anticipated annual YouTube Rewind video has been released! The video is reminiscent of the music, people, videos and moments that shaped the year 2018!
YouTube Rewind Fortnite
Most players will be pleased that Fortnite played a prominent role in the YouTube Rewind 2018 video. Ninja, who is considered the face of Fortnite, is strongly represented.
The cultural phenomenon has attracted more than 125 million players. This is in addition to one of the most profitable games ever made.
The YouTube 2018 Rewind begins with Will Smith, who in 2018 has spoken a lot about the character rewinding that he wants to have Fortnite and Marques Brownlee.
This sets up the location of the Fortnite Battle Bus, which contains a series of stars. Ninja drives the Battle Bus.
The stars then jump out of the bus a la Fortnite and eventually meet around the campfire to discuss what should be included in YouTube's 2018 rendition.
YouTube Rewind PewDiePie The theme that dominates the rewind video is the exclusion of PewDiePie.
Ninja vs PewDiePie
Ninja and PewDiePie are two of the greatest internet stars of all time. PewDiePie has the most YouTube subscribers, while Ninja has the most twitch followers. Some would argue that PewDiePie is actually bigger than ninja.
So this raises the question of why Ninja on YouTube is Rewind 2018 and PewDiePie is not? This is a fair question that most people know the answer to.
PewDiePie has had many controversies in recent years. These are well documented and will not be discussed here. It's a very divided topic and everyone has their own opinion.
Because of these incidents, it is very likely that PewDiePie was not there. However, there is another level, though even if YouTube were big fans of PewDiePie (their actions suggest that this is not the case), inclusion in its annual rewind video would create negative press.
At the end of the day, YouTube is a company that relies heavily on good PR. When you include PewDiePie in the video, the media is prompted to criticize the organization. The Swedish creator was also not included in the 2017 YouTube Rewind video.
