The natural evolution of the notch is the hole. All this can be explained by the pursuit of a smartphone that is all screen. Well, at least get as close as possible. Apertures, as we know them, are a thing of the past, and we need to get used to smartphones with notches or holes in their displays just to maximize the screen area and the screen-to-body ratio. Samsung and Huawei compete directly to become the first manufacturer to announce a smartphone with a hole for the camera in the display.
However, holes in the display do not necessarily have to be the camera. After a recently filed ZTE patent, the phone manufacturer is considering a screen section where the earphone is to be housed. In this way, ZTE was able to eliminate the upper bezel and get as close as possible to a smartphone with all the screens. The drawings in the patent application do not show a front camera, which may result in the phone either not having it or being behind the screen, which is even more exciting and hits the envelope. [1
